SpEEd BuMPs in LiFE

Well its been a while since I have been online...and its been even longer since I have checked my blog. Needless to say it needed some attention. All my cutesy blog stuff was gone, now it's back...hooray!!! Most of you know that my life has been turned upside down in the last month, we have had a scare, and many blessing bestowed upon us. This blog post is my release.
A month ago, Kevin was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. When Kevin first told me, I was devastated. I literally cried for two weeks. The night I found out, I cried, and prayed, and cried some more and then prayed some more. Needless to say I didn't sleep that night. This news was something that I was NOT expecting. We had been watching a lump on his neck for sometime, but all of the ultrasounds had come back clean and healthy. However, on his last ultrasound, they saw something that they wanted to biopsy. They found cancer.
Once I started reading on what thyroid cancer was and talking to some wonderful friends of mine, I learned that this type of cancer was highly treatable. A complete blessing, Truly.
Last Wednesday Kevin had his thyroid taken out. He is recovering and is one his way back to normal. He does have to go through radiation in about a month. We will cross that bridge when we get to it. For now, I am thankful that the love of my life is ok.
